We likely don't have the same brands here. Actually, I don't
remember ever having seen a liquid form! Duane Reade is more of a
drug store (not sure of the UK equivalent) so it has little things
and may have some Crystal Lite but I'm not sure. You'll want a
full-on grocery store for your best bet.
UK drug store would be more akin to Boots, though that's really
more like a Walgreens here than a pure drug store. (We don't have
Duane Reade in Chicago, so if that's like Walgreens too, then
forgive me.)
You might be able to find the powdered stuff in a 7 Eleven,
though my guess is you need to find a local grocery store (or
market, as Zach called it). And the powdered stuff... is risky. It
can cause stones to develop if it doesn't completely dissolve
(which is almost never fully does). I know quite a few people who
had stones develop as a result, including a couple cases where they
had to go to the hospital to have the stones zapped in order to
pass them.

Any market should have powder mix - kool aid or crystal lite (as above) are the popular ones...
Where in the city are you? If you Google Maps "Gristedes" there's probably one nearby.
